If you wish to type in a web address don't bother typing
the http://
simply type the www address (ex. www.lavacacounty.com
). Your browser will know to add the http:// - save yourself some keystrokes!
Ever encountered a web page that had a background that
made the text
almost unreadable? Here's a trick... Highlinght the text by holding your
mouse button down and moving it along all the text area(s). This should
draw the text out to a readable state.
The easiest way to
email a web site address
(or URL) to a friend:
I'm sure you have come across a great
web site a friend would really enjoy. It is much easier to email the web site
address to them in an email message than to tell the the entire address (which is
sometimes lengthy) and possibly make a mistake in spelling. Simply go the the web
page you would like your friend to visit. Highlight the entire address (or URL)
in the address window of your browser. Right click on it and choose Copy. Now
simply start an email message to them and where you would like to include the address to
the site simply click your right mouse button and choose Paste.
Another way you can do this from Netscape is to choose File and Mail Document. This places the address in your email message.
