40 Texas counties declared disasters

NEW BRAUNFELS — The U.S. Department of Agriculture has designated 40 Texas counties as primary natural disaster areas because losses caused by drought, excessive heat, high winds and wildfires that occurred since Jan. 1, 2011, and continues.
